Formation of the "World Inline Figure Skating Association", WIFSA, occurred on January 30, 2010 at a meeting of coaches, skaters, and figure skating club officials at the 5th "Paris International Open of Inline Figure Skating". The founding president is
Jean-Pierre Faugere of Paris.
The purpose of WIFSA is to establish the rules for inline figure skating competitions, certify judges, and promote inline figure skating.
The founding members from France, Spain, Cypress, Romania, and the United States have agreed to follow the rules and regulations established by ISU as adopted for inline figure skating by Jean-Pierre Faugere.
Skaters utilize specially designed inline skates that feature a pic at the toe of the skate.
The figure skating is remarkable!
